The Dinners

One of the most important part of any Jamboree is to thank all those that work hard behind the scenes. Traditionally Scouts are expected to host a thank you dinner to someone that is not part of the Troop lines and invite them along for a meal. During the meal the invited guest is treated to the meal the troop is serving, and to be served and waited upon. A

Now as most leaders know being thanked is not often forthcoming, but when it does come we are all a little shy of it as we tend to put the Scout first not ourselves.

The photos below are of the Chief Commissioner of Scouts Australia, Mr Reg Williams RFD being invited to H38 for a thank you meal. Reports are Mr Williams was treated with the utmost respect and loved being able to spend time with the Scouts.
